My two older children, ages 12 and 14, have been learning Spanish at Las Mariposas since 2003. I was so pleased with the progress they made that I didn’t hesitate to enroll their younger sister in 2007. The teachers at Las Mariposas blend language instruction with cultural studies, which results in a rich curriculum that never seems to get dull. Las Mariposas’ approach is very effective, I believe – teaching language by including history, geography, and culture. My kids think it’s fun and interesting, and their language retention, as well as their growing awareness and appreciation of Latin American culture, reflects that.
